Manual Lymphatic Massage at Clear Blossom

Manual Lymphatic Massage has many benefits, including reducing inflammation, speeding up recovery from surgery or birth, & improving immunity.

Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) helps with:

  • Bruising reduction. Cells transported by the lymph system are moved away 10 times faster with MLD. Bruises heal in a fraction of the time, allowing clients the ability to resume activities of daily living, without having to wear sunglasses for months to hide bruises.
  • Skin Issues. Manual Lymphatic Drainage helps with skin issues such as acne, rosacea, and eczema, as well as anti-aging.
  • Edema reduction. MLD reroutes lymph fluid to collateral and viable pathways untouched by surgery to allow for accelerated drainage, as opposed to the slow trickle of tissue fluids in the operative site.
  • Pain management. As the pressure of lymph fluid decreases around nerves, pain and discomfort are relieved, and less pain medication is required.
  • Scar-tissue prevention and fibrosis reduction. Lymph fluid left to build up below incisions or sitting in the interstitial space can solidify, causing the formation of scar tissue and fibrotic tissue. These tissues are often felt as ball-like substances below the skin surface. MLD prevents lymph fluid buildup and solidification, for a seamless scar.
  • Infection prevention. Postsurgical MLD is important when considering that stagnating lymph fluid can become infectious material and warrant artificial drain insertion, which is painful, costly, and time-consuming.
  • It helps with underlying autoimmune disorders. Autoimmune issues can cause problems with conception.
  • Manual Lymphatic Drainage is great for women who are pregnant or are trying to get pregnant.
  • It helps keep the immune system functioning optimally, milk production, and prevents stretch marks.
  • C-section scars, faster recovery after delivery, constipation, edema, and weight reduction due to fluid.
  • For Men: Manual Lymphatic Drainage helps with male fertility by increasing sperm count and viability.

Recovery after surgery usually takes 9-12 months to completely heal after surgery but with a series of Lymphatic Massage treatments, it can reduce recovery periods to as little as 6 weeks to 3 months. The recommended treatments for optimal results are 3-5 pre-op and 3-5 post-op
